BEIJING – China’s wine industry registered 1.256 billion yuan (US$156.45 million) of net profit last year, up 58.68 percent over 2004, higher than the growth rate of the liquor industry (25.69 percent) and the beer industry (24.99 percent), according to an analysis report on the Chinese beverage industry by the National Information Center.
